Pride of Wyoming County Agriculture Dinner Sold Out
Perry, NY -- The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the very first Pride of Wyoming County Agriculture Dinner is sold out. Nearly two weeks before the event, all 300 tickets have been sold and there is now a waiting list.
"We are overwhelmed with the response we've have to the event," stated Chamber Executive Director James Pierce. "I think it speaks to the importance of agriculture in Wyoming County and peoples desire to celebrate its importance in the county."
Wyoming County businesses are showing their support of agriculture as well with 75 sponsors of the event.
The Chamber's Agriculture Committee has partnered with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County, Wyoming County Farm Bureau, Wyoming County Soil and Water and various members of the agriculture community including farms and agribusinesses to present this new event to celebrate and recognize Wyoming County's largest industry -- agriculture.
The event will feature the awarding of the first annual Pride of Agriculture - Good Neighbor Award, which is a joint award presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County and Wyoming County Farm Bureau. There will also be the Pride of Wyoming County Agriculture Slideshow and a meal catered by the Charcoal Corral that will showcase local food products from Wyoming County and the Western NY region. The dinner is a great opportunity for farmers and their neighbors to come together and socialize.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 and will be held at the North Java Fire Hall. Tickets have been mailed and are required for admission as there is no room for walk-ins.
