New York State police arrested a Batavia man on Tuesday, charging him with forcibly raping a 4-year-old girl.

Richard J. Peters II, 18, is being held in the Wyoming County jail on charges of rape, sexual abuse, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Peters allegedly had sex with a 4-year-old girl from Perry and possibly at least two other young victims. Genesee County authorities are looking into filing charges.
