For many years, the Rotary Club of Middleport, NY brought quality Community Theater to area residents. From this group of local talent came the birth of Lake Plains Players in 1982. Royalton-Hartland High School hosted the productions until Medina High built their new building in 1991 and offered to be our Orleans county “Home Stage”. We have contributed funds to provide a structural assessment of the old Medina Opera House above the Fleet Bank on Main and West Center Streets. Our dream is to be a part of the restoration of that historical theater and perhaps someday use it as our “home.”
