Batavia, NY -- The North West New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops team announced the promotion of Nancy Glazier to the position of Small Farms Support Specialist.

Glazier earned a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and has been with the NWNY team since October 1999 as team assistant. In her new role as Small Farms Support Specialist she will initially focus on working with grazing operations and assisting beginning farmers.

Through educational programs and other teaching opportunities, the NWNY team seeks to build producers' capacities to enhance the sustainability of their businesses; enhance profitability and other aspects of economic performance of their businesses; practice environmental stewardship; enhance employee well-being and satisfaction; provide safe, healthy agricultural products in ways that are safe to farm owners and their families, farm employees and their families, and neighbors; and provide leadership for enhancing relationships between the agricultural sector and the general public.
