Free Nature Programs

Mar 28 2009 - 1:00pm

Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge will launch the 2009 season of Iroquois Observations (free nature programs) with a bald eagle watch and an owl prowl. Meet at Cayuga Overlook where volunteers will be on hand 1-4 pm with spotting scopes to help you locate and view the active bald eagle nest as well as other birds on the marsh. Then meet at the refuge office for an owl prowl 7:30 - 9:30 pm. After a brief orientation groups will caravan to the prowl location. Pre-registration is required for the owl prowl by calling 585-948-5445.
Iroquois Observations will present nature programs each Saturday March 28- May 9. For a complete schedule visit our website: http://www.fws.gov/northeast/iroquois.
