Free Nature Programs

Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge will launch the 2009 season of Iroquois Observations (free nature programs) with a bald eagle watch and an owl prowl. Meet at Cayuga Overlook where volunteers will be on hand 1-4 pm with spotting scopes to help you locate and view the active bald eagle nest as well as other birds on the marsh. Then meet at the refuge office for an owl prowl 7:30 - 9:30 pm. After a brief orientation groups will caravan to the prowl location. Pre-registration is required for the owl prowl by calling 585-948-5445.
