Absent Conesus Board Member Gets Salary
Conesus, NY -- A Conesus Town Board member, whose salary was withheld after he stopped going to meetings, said he has received notice of payment.
Michael Witkousky requested his annual $2,000 salary last month; he had not shown up for board meetings for more than a year.
Witkousky said he stopped going to the meetings because he disagreed with the way the board was being run. His term expires at the end of the year.
Board members are not required to perform any duties in order to be paid.
